What a delight to photograph Roanne and her lovely family recently in their stunning home in Silverlake. Roanne is the power house behind the creative agency RoAndCo, the gorgeous and iconic Romance Journal, and Oraphae—her latest project—a regenerative retreat in Todos Santos that she is building alongside her husband, Johnny Wahba.

The creatives and producers that are doing ‘too many things’… those are my people. I constantly feel that there is not enough time each day to do all the things I want to do. My list never ends because things are always getting added; there are too many books, too many places to go, too many things to photograph, too many people I want to see. So when I get to spend time with someone like Roanne, I feel an immediate familiarity and kinship. But the thing that struck me the most during our shoot, is that in the midst of all this work and family, creative and personal, Roanne has such a calming energy. Truly an impressive ability to do so much and stay so chill along the way. I’m taking notes
